Energy Engineer
Responsible for supporting energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives through audits, analysis, and project development for commercial and institutional facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits.
Analyze building systems including HVAC, lighting, controls, central plants, and building envelopes.
Collect and analyze utility data to establish facility energy baselines.
Perform energy modeling and calculate savings for Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs).
Identify and evaluate ECMs including HVAC upgrades, lighting improvements, building automation systems, central plant optimization, and renewable energy integration.
Develop engineering calculations to estimate energy savings, project costs, and payback periods.
Support financial modeling for energy performance contracts.
Collaborate with business development and project teams during proposal development.
Participate in client meetings, site walkthroughs, and technical presentations.
Assist in preparation of investment-grade audits (IGAs) and technical documentation.
Provide engineering support during design and construction phases.
Review equipment submittals and engineering drawings.
Coordinate with construction managers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.
Support development of Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans in accordance with IPMVP guidelines.
Assist in post-installation validation of energy savings.
