Field Project Manager (Travel position)
Our client is a technology-enabled energy services company providing multiple turn-key energy conservation measures and sustainability solutions to our clients in North America and other global locations. Our primary offerings consist of Lighting, Lighting Controls, Power Conditioning, EV Chargers, and Networked Thermostats.
They are seeking an experienced field Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be on job sites overseeing LED lighting upgrades and power conditioning projects and various other Energy Conservation measures across diverse sectors, including commercial, educational, healthcare, military, government, and industrial settings. Your responsibilities will include project planning, execution, quality assurance, problem-solving, and field/manpower management to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget. Preferred Job Skills:
· Electrical Systems: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit diagrams.
· Lighting Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with various lighting technologies (e.g., LED, fluorescent), fixtures, and controls.
· Installation Techniques: Expertise in installation methods, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with electrical codes.
· Commercial and Industrial Experience: Extensive background in commercial and industrial electrical systems.
· Team Supervision: Ability to effectively supervise lighting installation crews.
· Troubleshooting Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
· Certifications: Advanced knowledge and certifications, including National Electric Code (NEC), EM-385, 24-HR Fall Protection, and NFPA 70e.
· Professional Demeanor: Consistently maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer use and keyboard navigation.
· Safety Training: OSHA 30-hour certification, CPR, and First Aid training.
· Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and organize customer and company-specific information and documentation efficiently.
· Productivity and Accuracy: Demonstrate high productivity levels, meeting deadlines without compromising accuracy.
· Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities required across multiple stakeholders on a project.

Responsibilities:
· Field Personnel Management: Lead and oversee all field personnel involved in the project, including orientation, acting as the Competent Person for the project, managing timekeeping, preparing daily, safety, accident, and disciplinary reports.
· Safety and Compliance: Serve as the Site Safety Representative for the project
· Project Planning: Perform construction take-offs using the bid estimate as a guideline, while planning the job for maximum efficiency and profitability.
· Material Coordination: Ensure all materials are ordered and received promptly to align with the project work schedule.
· Tool Requirements: Possess and maintain essential personal tools as specified by leadership.
· Policy Adherence: Read and adhere to all guidelines outlined in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Policy and Procedure Manual, ensuring all field employees under supervision follow the same.
· Auditing: Conduct site audits and assessments to evaluate energy usage and identify opportunities for energy conservation both in lighting and power conditioning.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Licenses:
o Valid state driver’s license.
o Ability to pass a FBI criminal background check to be badged for military and government projects.
Experience:
o A minimum of four years of site project management in lighting and electrical , preferably in industrial and commercial construction.
Travel:
o Must demonstrate willingness and ability to travel nationwide as needed.
Working Conditions:
· Work outdoors in various weather conditions depending on the job location and season, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
· Carry and use required personal tools at all times; a waist tool belt weighing approximately 30 lbs. is standard.
· Use and relocate all types of ladders unassisted, including working at heights up to 90 feet on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms.
· Operate in restricted and high-security areas as required.
· Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as specified for safety.
· Work 40 hours per week, with additional overtime, night shifts, and out-of-town assignments as necessary.
Required Physical and Mental Functions:
· Accurately identify wire colors and other items as needed.
· Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
· Comprehend and follow safe work procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Handbook.
· Interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions effectively.
· Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
· Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 20 pounds.
· Endure prolonged standing and walking.
· Safely climb and use all types of ladders and lifts
· Engage in repetitive use of arms, h
