Role Overview
The Sales Engineer is a customer-facing, technical sales role responsible for supporting the growth of our clients' Building Automation business. This position works closely with consulting engineers, architects and contractors to develop, estimate, and support automation solutions that improve building performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, facility managers, consulting engineers, and contractors
Support both owner-direct and plan-and-spec sales opportunities
Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to support system design and cost estimating
Assist with proposal development, presentations, and customer meetings
Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure smooth project handoffs

Qualifications and Experience
Mechanical or electrical engineering background preferred, or equivalent BAS/controls experience
Working knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation technologies
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Competitive base salary plus commission
