About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven Plumbing Sales Executive to expand our plumbing division and strengthen client partnerships throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a solid understanding of plumbing systems and a passion for business development.
As a Plumbing Sales Executive, you’ll play a vital role in identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving growth across commercial, institutional, and government markets. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and service teams to ensure clients receive the highest level of service and tailored plumbing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Solution Development
  • Meet with clients to assess plumbing needs, identify issues, and recommend service or project solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance on repairs, system upgrades, retrofits, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Present technical information in clear, solution-oriented terms for decision-makers.
Relationship Management & Customer Retention
  • Build, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships within the commercial and institutional sectors.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring clients optimize their plumbing systems and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to confirm satisfaction and uncover new service opportunities.
Estimating & Proposal Coordination
  • Collaborate with estimators and project managers to prepare accurate, competitive proposals.
  • Ensure all estimates align with client budgets, specifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Review project scopes and provide input to improve service offerings and pricing accuracy.
Business Development & Lead Generation
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and local industry events.
  • Manage a strong sales pipeline and track activity using CRM tools.
  • Contribute to marketing and outreach efforts to strengthen company visibility in target markets.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless handoffs from proposal to execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date sales records, proposals, and client interactions within CRM systems.
  • Provide regular performance and forecast reports to management.


What We’re Looking For
Technical Expertise
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, service, and installation practices.
  • Experience in plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC industries preferred.
Sales & Estimating Acumen
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in commercial contracting.
  • At least 3 years of experience preparing estimates, interpreting blueprints, and pricing projects.
Communication & Relationship Skills
  • Exceptional ability to build rapport, earn trust, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical clients.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
Professional Attributes
  • Independent and self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and committed to client satisfaction.
Technology Proficiency
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of estimating or project management software is a plus.


Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in plumbing sales or commercial estimating.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school background preferred.
  • License: Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation for site visits.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
