Location: Remote / United States (with travel as needed)

Position Summary

The Account Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and managing customer relationships across key sectors including ESCOs, electrical distributors, contractors, federal/state/local government entities, healthcare institutions, schools, and industrial clients. This individual will work closely with internal teams to deliver customized solutions, focusing on value creation, project development, and long-term partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Generation: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Account Management: Build and manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring strong customer satisfaction, repeat business, and upselling opportunities.

  • Channel Development: Strengthen relationships with distributors, ESCOs, contractors, and agents to drive market penetration.

  • Project Management Support: Collaborate with customers, project managers, and technical teams to develop project specifications, quotations, and submittals.

  • Market Intelligence: Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry developments.

  • Customer Presentations: Deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and proposals tailored to customer requirements.

  • CRM Management: Document sales activities, forecast opportunities, and manage the pipeline through CRM systems.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Travel: Attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events as needed (approximately 35–50% travel).


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience in lighting, electrical, or energy services will be considered.

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in lighting, energy solutions, electrical products, or a related field.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong network within ESCOs, electrical distributors, contractors, or government procurement entities is highly desirable.

  • Technical aptitude and ability to communicate energy solutions effectively.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
