Business Development Representative

Minneapolis, MN

Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new commercial, industrial, and municipal construction projects. This role will focus on generating leads, developing client relationships, and partnering with internal teams to ensure a seamless handoff from sales to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan for the Milwaukee market.

  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities with general contractors, developers, architects, and municipal entities.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular meetings, site visits, and industry networking events.

  • Attend trade shows, association meetings, and other business functions to promote brand awareness.

  • Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to prepare bids and proposals.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and construction pipeline data to identify growth opportunities.

  • Maintain an active CRM database of prospects, leads, and client interactions.

  • Meet or exceed annual sales and revenue goals.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience in the construction industry; masonry/concrete experience preferred.

  • Strong network within the Milwaukee/Southeastern Wisconsin construction market.

  • Proven track record of securing projects and meeting sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
