Building Automation Controls Sales Representative

Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing mechanical and building automation contractor with a strong regional presence and an expanding footprint in the El Paso market. As they continue to invest in new technologies and market share, they are seeking a Building Automation Controls Sales Representative to join their dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in driving business development efforts, cultivating strong customer relationships, and delivering innovative control solutions for commercial and institutional buildings.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sell Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls solutions by developing strong, long-term relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

  • Utilize the organization’s established customer base and network to identify opportunities for retrofit and upgrade projects within existing facilities.

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with building owners, facility managers, mechanical contractors, general contractors, and consulting engineers.

  • Conduct client meetings, site walks, and technical discussions to understand customer needs and propose tailored BAS solutions.

  • Develop and present compelling sales proposals, estimates, and ROI analyses that align with customer goals and energy efficiency objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure technical accuracy, proper scope definition, and successful project execution.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market trends, product innovations, and competitive landscape within the BAS and mechanical systems industry.

  • Attend local industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to strengthen brand presence and build new client relationships.

  • Meet or exceed established sales goals, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention.


Experience & Education Qualifications: 
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior experience creating sales proposals, quotes, and reviewing contracts
  • Demonstrated sales success
  • Exceptional skills in relationship management, communication, and problem solving
