Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Development Executive to expand our presence in the energy efficiency and infrastructure modernization market. This individual will focus on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving revenue growth by helping clients meet their energy, operational, and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities with federal, state, municipal, higher education, and healthcare clients.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers.

  • Strategic Growth: Develop and execute market strategies that align with company goals and expand our footprint in target sectors.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, funding opportunities, and regulatory drivers to position the company competitively.

  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineering, project development, and finance teams to deliver compelling proposals and presentations.

  • Pipeline Management: Oversee opportunities from early engagement through contract close, ensuring alignment with revenue targets.

  • Brand Representation: Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and client meetings to strengthen visibility and credibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field (MBA a plus).

  • 3+ years of business development, sales, or account management experience in energy services, sustainability, or infrastructure solutions.

  • Knowledge of performance contracting, energy efficiency technologies, and government procurement processes preferred.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and growth objectives.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with technical teams while operating independently in the field.

  • Willingness to travel regionally/nationally for client engagement.
