Business Development Executive – Energy Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to lead the development of turnkey energy projects across key verticals in the Missouri market. The ideal candidate will have expertise in all stages of the sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, while building and maintaining strong client relationships. This role involves strategic business development efforts, market analysis, and technical evaluations to drive energy solutions in both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships within Missouri markets.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape business development strategies for assigned verticals.
  • Identify energy project opportunities, with a focus on healthcare and higher education.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments of building systems, including lighting, HVAC, controls, and solar energy solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and key decision-makers.
  • Identify RFQ/P opportunities and coordinate internal teams to pursue project bids.
  • Maintain accurate project and sales data within CRM systems.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to enhance brand visibility in Missouri and target industries.
  • Provide engineering and technical support for project assessments and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Engage with clients on ongoing and future energy projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the energy sector with a well-established industry network.
  • Proven track record in full sales cycles, including closing deals.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Understand of K-12 construction projects
