The Project Manager provides customer support, working alongside Account Managers to deliver outstanding service to our customers. Works closely with sales and engineering to promote the best service possible. Manages our projects post-sale; depending on project complexity ranging from weeks to several months.
- Support the Account Management staff with managing projects including providing customer service and technical assistance.
- Communicate with customers in a high-volume environment via phone, email and in person.
- Utilize multiple databases/technology sources to help maintain project schedules and release equipment. Manage multiple bids at the same time.
- Review and track open orders, providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Process credits for customer returns and freight claims for damaged goods.
- Prepare estimates, submittals and orders using manufacturer databases and Dorse software packages.
- Understands catalog pricing and use of vendor pricing sheets.
- Supports house account requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Proficient use of CAPS for fully designed projects. Proficient use of Navigator. Proficient use of CAPS for designed and conceptual projects.
- Creates new project accounts in Salesforce.
- Supports accounts +500K in Sales
- Manages accounts under $50K in Sales.
- Bid data management – review, download and account for addendums. Manage bid changes, keeping opportunities up to date.
- Prebid research – for new projects, research if it’s a re-bid or same project/opportunity. Set up project opportunities in the appropriate system.
- Design/Build Permit & CD Bid
- Finalizing estimates – review and approve Estimator T/O, pricing and quote
- Set up vendor training due to needs analysis.
- Design/build specialty equipment assistance – small equipment selection.
- Design/Build SD & DD Bid projects under $100,000.
- Inside Sales-Stock Item Orders – Coordinate with purchasing any items that are short or need ordering for the warehouse.
- Accurately perform engineered product takeoff without needing manager or peer assistance.
- Advanced SF expertise – ability to use a personal SF Dashboard to analyze personal productivity.
- Understanding product selection – dampers, GRD’s, fans.
- Making good selections when not BOD, understand what equipment is required on our bid when others are BOD.
- Substantiating bid selections, generating basic submittals. Termination unit selection.
- Design/build technical support including for specialty equipment, conducting field visits.
- Project technical support.
- Shares unique learning experiences with software, systems and our equipment for the team to improve.

Knowledge:
- Strong written and oral communications skills are essential.
- Experience working in a high-volume business.
- Strong technical/database acumen is required including proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Salesforce, CRMs and partner databases.
- Basic HVAC Equipment Knowledge.
- Intermediate HVAC Product Knowledge – Understands product names, descriptions, functionality and ability to cross reference or substitute. Understands industry terms, differentiation between products, manufacturers. Ability to identify product exclusions in bid documents.
