Project Supervisor - HVAC

Role Summary:

The Mechanical Project Supervisor is to provide overall direction for field installation of projects. Owns direct responsibility for all customer site field activities' safety, coordination, and quality control. Represents our company on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope. The supervisor must have experience installing HVAC and mechanical scopes of work implemented in the education, hospitality, restaurant, and healthcare markets. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, submittals, and plan details. They should be familiar with current building codes.
  • This position involves hands-on work.
  • Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standard safety rules and conduct a weekly safety meeting.
  • Accountable for the quality of work at the project
  • Work with the assigned Project Manager to identify potential change orders.
  • Responsible for subcontractor and customer relations
  • Accountable for the execution of all on-site function                               
  • Job scheduling, including all labor and material requirements
  • Have the ability to monitor and control the installation activities of HVAC, Refrigeration, and Mechanical, including but not limited to ductwork, temperature controls, chilled water, hot water, and steam equipment
  • Interpret HVAC drawings for craft installation
  • Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, project layouts, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity.
  • Coordinate installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress.
  • Schedule equipment and rental deliveries
  • Monitor crew performance, labor reporting, job cost reviews, and timesheet review
  • Work with the Project Manager to maintain the job on time and budget
  • Preparing all reports requested by the Project Manager
  • Keeping Project Manager informed of all problems, potential and actual
Job Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of related experience and training; trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Travel: 75% Nationally / 25% Regionally
  • Preference: Candidate to be located in western PA and Ohio
Job Skills:
 
  • Knowledge of blueprints and mechanical schematics
  • Knowledge of high and low-voltage electrical troubleshooting and repair, including P&ID and industrial control schematics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have experience within a manufacturing facility                                          
  • Good technology and computer skills
