Overview:

Our client is well established consulting engineering firm that is a national pioneer in the development of net zero energy buildings. They are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team within the Richmond market!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Design the electrical systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems
Assist meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed
Review contractor submittals to determine conformance with contract documents
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks
Research and analyze customer design proposals specification, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
Identify and resolve conflicts as they come up
Create and maintain customer relationships

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

8+ years of experience in consulting engineering
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
P.E. required
Experience in MEP Design
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and communication skills
AutoCAD and REVIT software experience
